This sums it all up
Nick and I are out to dinner a few nights ago and a beggar comes up to us. You really don't see beggars here, this was the first one we've come across. He tells us his story and then asks if we can help him. Nick reaches int0 his pocket and gives the guy 10 dirhams (about $3). The beggar takes it, and then looks at us and says "No, I need 200 (dirhams)." Instead of saying thank you and being gratetful that we even gave him anything, he asks for more. We had to laugh. That just says everything about this place.

That happened to me at Mikado in Sandy...so I guess beggars are ungrateful everywhere.

I would have given a look that could kill to that dude! Then I would have taken my money back out of his hand!
The other day in D.C. we went to Wendy's in a sketchy part of town and a beggar asked if we had money. We gave him about 5 dollars and he was sooo grateful. Michael and I both noticed the gratitude and need in his eyes. He told Michael to take me to the beach because I was so "sweet."
There are a handful of those that still really need help....but that dude that approached you?! Jerk!
We would love to see you guys we are actually now back in SLC after having the twins we decided we needed to be closer to family. Shoot me an email and I'll give you my new cell #
